- Summer Session - 2008: Keep your child's mind engaged and their body active at Prairie Fire Kids Summer Session click here for a list of summer classes.
- Adult fitness: Prairie Fire Gymnastics is now proud to offer an adult fitness area for parents and members of the public. The adult fitness area consists of commercial treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, weights, and many other fitness tools. The adult fitness program is perfect for parents of gymnasts that wish to work out during their child's class time. The adult fitness area is open whenever the office is open, and parents can utilize this area multiple times per week. For more information and for pricing, please contact the office or e-mail us.
- Cheerleading: This up-and-coming sport involves
cheerleading in a competitive environment. Our cheerleading class prepares students for the activity and includes jumps, formations, arm movements and more. This class is for ages 5 and up. This is also a great class for students that want to be involved in cheeerleading at their school.
- Birthday Parties: Birthday parties are a blast at
Prairie Fire! We offer three different kinds of packages to choose from
- each of them providing great fun for the kids. Each party includes
party invitations, a t-shirt for the birthday child, and the use of
our party room for eating cake or other goodies. Parties are held on
Friday evenings or Saturday afternoons. Contact
us for more details or click here to download an informational brochure.
- Gymnastics: We are proud to provide excellent gymnastics
instruction. PFG offers club gymnastics in a 10,500 square foot facility. We offer both recreational gymnastics, as well as a competitive program for those who enjoy a competitive format. Skills that are acquired through
gymnastics carry over into all other sports: strength, flexibility,
agility, coordination, endurance, and self-confidence. Gymnasts tend
to score higher in school, are self-motivated and learn patience, goal
setting and courage. Click HERE
for a listing of classes.
- Home School P.E.: We are pleased to offer assistance
to the home school community. We commonly hear physical education is
one of the biggest challenges home schoolers face. Students in the class
will experience a sampling and learn the basics of many different sports
and fitness. This program is offered during the school year.
- Lunch Bunch: Lunch bunch is for kids ages 3-5 and is held on Thursdays from 11:30 - 1:00. Kids can bring their lunch and enjoy their own open gym. Parents are welcome to stay, but are not required to. This currently is a drop-in program, but pre-registration is suggested and appreciated due an increase in popularity in this program.
- Open gym: Open gyms are a fun way for kids to enjoy the sport in a relaxed, non-structured setting. Open gyms are open to the public and are typically held the second Friday of each month. Open gyms are for kids ages 5 and up (younger children welcome with a parent). Kids are welcome to tumble, jump on the trampolines, climb the rock wall or rope, or work on their skills on any apparatus.
- Strength Training: This program is extremely beneficial
to young athletes. The class focuses on different muscle groups and
helps develop stronger athletes. Regardless of what sport your athlete
is in, the strength training program will be an excellent addition to
their training. The class utilizes a combination of isometric exercises, weight traning, as well as other strength training techniques. This class has been complimented by many coaches.
- Tumbling: PFG offers a tumbling only class for both beginner and advanced levels. This
program works specifically on floor and trampoline skills. This is a
great class for students who may not desire the full spectrum of gymnastics
drills and skills. This is also a great class to complement a recreation
class, or for any student who wishes to strengthen their basic tumbling
skills. An optional tumbling team is being planned for the near future.
- Special Events: We offer a variety of special events
throughout the year. Some of these include: open gyms, holiday fun days, sleepovers,
and summer day camps.
