Policies

The following policies will helpfully answer basic questions you may have regarding membership, enrollment, tuition, etc. Please feel free to contact us directly with any questions.

  • Membership: It is necessary for each participant to pay an annual membership fee of $28. Membership entitles students participation in classes at PFG, as well as discounts on special activities, such as open gym and day camps. Membership fees are due in August at the beginning of the fall session. If a student enrolls after August, the membership fee is prorated. Families with three or more children enrolled will receive a discount on the membership fee for the third and subsequent children.
  • Enrollment: The schedule for classes is primarily a school year format. It is not necessary for you to re-enroll your child from session to session.  Their spot in class is reserved for the entire school year through May. After May, there is a special summer session offered. Each participant has the option to re-enroll for the summer program.
  • Dropping Class: If your child no longer wishes to take class, you must notify the office in writing before the first of the month. If no notification is given, you will be required to pay for that month. Please do not tell your child's teacher and assume he/she will tell the office. If you do not wish to continue class, write a note and leave it in the payment box in the office. If you have paid for the year rather than by the semester, no refunds are given. However, we are happy to maintain a credit on your account which can be applied to classes in the future.
  • Tuition: Tuition is always due by the first day of the month (not the first class). No statements will be sent. If a statement is sent, there will be a late charge applied. Any account not paid by the first of the month, it will be assessed a late charge of $10. Tuition can be paid in person, mailed to the gym, or a credit card can be taken over the phone. If desired, monthly credit card auto pay can be arranged in the office. If paying by check, it is advisable to note the student's name in the memo line on your check. There is a 10% discount for paying for the year up front and a 5% discount if paying by session. Refunds are not given.
  • Referrals: Families who refer another student will receive a $5 credit to their account. There is no limit to the number of referrals a family can receive. To receive a referral credit, the new family must list the referring family on the registration form.
  • Attire: Each gymnast should come to class prepared and appropriately dressed. Boys may wear shorts and a t-shirt or gymnastics jersey. Girls must wear leotards or biketards. Our Pro Shop stocks a variety of leotards and other fun gymnastics wear. No jewelry except stud earrings are allowed. Long hair must be pulled back and secured in a ponytail.
  • Comments: Anyone who has comments is encouraged to share them with the office. Prairie Fire encourages open communication, and wants each participant to have the best experience possible. We will do everything we can to ensure each child has a positive experience.
